Playskool Mr. Potato Head Toy Story 3 Movie - Spud Lightyear

4/19/2011

Product Description :

Get ready for out-of-this world fun with a wild and wacky astro-tot! Your SPUD LIGHTYEAR figure has all of the accessories he needs to look just like spaceman character from the Toy Story 3 movie — and it’s up to you to take the accessories and give him a crazy new look. His “jetpack” where his “ear” should be? A set of “teeth” instead of a “nose”? The kookier the look, the better for this high-“frying” hero!

Product Features:

  • Silly spud is styled after your favorite spaceman character from the Toy Story movies
  • Potato body comes with one set of eyes, one nose, one set teeth, two arms, one chest piece
  • With his jet pack, visor and other accessories, this figure looks ready to head up and out of this world
  • When you're done creating all kinds of space cadet looks for your tuber pal
  • This crazy tuber is more of a high fry-er than a high flier
  • Features a Tater Tush compartment for storing all of his accessories
  • The Potato body also comes with one pair of shoes, one visor, one jetpack and one back plate accessories
  • When you switch his accessories around, he looks downright nutty
Customer Reviews:

By Poulin:

My 4 yr. old love Buzz and really liked this toy as well. I don't know why the other review said the plastic was cheap - perhaps they fixed it up, but the plastic on this is just fine. I like too that it is a full sized potato (not a spud) and the parts are interchangeable with all the other Mr. Potato parts. The back pack section is kept firmly on with the arms in place, and his wings attach to the back pack easily and securely. The front section of the suit is held on by a potato loop that goes under the teeth (like the mustaches do). I wish that Playskool would have made a unique nose and lips closer to Buzz's nose and lips in the movie instead of using one of the many "standard" parts - but they do that a lot. Love the shoes.

I'm glad we got this for free (as a promo with another product we purchased). It's definitely made for older children as the order in which the parts need to be assembled is complex for my toddler. And he's bored with it after about two minutes. Looks cool, but just sits on a shelf.
